”Take a seat, ah, take a spot to stand in then.” ”Come on inside, welcome!” he greeted cheerfully. Behind it sat a…pandaren? A pandaren brewmaster by the looks of it but a particularly scruffy looking specimen. A desk so cluttered there was barely any space left occupied the farther side of the one room. Spare parts rubbed shoulders with document folders and what were apparently pilot attire. The door creaked as Sylvanas made her way inside followed by Cyndia and Velonara. Higher for Hire operated from a rickety house by the dockside, narrowly escaping being called an overgrown shed. Something about Cyndia and Velonara told her that test-flying commercial dwarven flying machines did not count as ”on duty” in their minds. It was just that her dark rangers were extremely stoic and professional, to the point of being downright unnerving to strangers. It wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, Sylvanas truly loved her inexplicably loyal rangers and would trust them with her undeath, and Jainas life, any day. Even though banshee queens and archmages generally had less need of such measures than the typical traveller there were after all quite a few Azerothians of less than friendly disposition towards them. Dark rangers Velonara and Cyndia would come with Sylvanas while Anya and Alina would go with Jaina for protection. Since she and her accompanying rangers could fly in their banshee form Sylvanas was obviously the expert on flying things, as Jaina never tired of pointing out, and so they had agreed that Sylvanas would try out the new way to travel while Jaina went ahead to Boralus by her every-day and unromatic portals and spent some time catching up with her family and some admiralty business. Surely sailing there would only invite trouble. Sylvanas reckoned that this might be a calmer way to reach their intended destination on one of the Kul Tiran islands where they would be spending their first week of vacation. The company Higher for Hire advertised across all of southern Lordaeron about their relaxing and fascinating way to travel by air and be able to view the landscape below. Apparently not exempting gyrocopters and similar flying machines of Ironforge. With the need for Horde and Alliance to find a way to dismantle their bloated and costly militaries to fund a semblance of civic regrowth, all sorts of interesting products were on sale these days for those that could afford it. Sylvanas kissed her wife goodbye and proceeded towards the docks where the new peculiar air service was the talk of the town. My rangers are total monkeys, as you well know.” Say hello to your mother and Tandred for me, and try not to let Anya and Alina loose in your riggings or you’ll never get them down. ”Don’t worry, I will have Cyndia and Velonara with me after all.” I wouldn’t want those dwarven flying machines exploding on you.” ”Please be careful, I know you can fly and all, but still. ”It could happen.” Jaina suggested sagely. What was it called again, this air service? Higher for Ire? What if there are pirates in the air?” ”Well, I bet the air could be dangerous too. And whatever other unlikely adversaries that would disturb us.” ![]() ”Leaving us with only the naga to worry about. ”We could always toss a few fireballs at that pile of garbage…” Jaina mused airily ”…but Kul Tiras has many islands, we don’t need to go near Drust at all.” ”Besides, are we really going to relax cruising outside of Drust?” ”Not a word more, we agreed to scout out the different alternatives first and evaluate them like sensible adults.” countered the Banshee Queen and Dark Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. ”I still think a romantic cruise in the archipelago would make a lovely honeymoon.” Lord Admiral Jaina Proudmoore said teasingly.
